French Chateaux

April 24, 2018

And chateaux in the province of Poitou Charentes.

This is how my French winter vacation unfolded.  When I visited this Chateau in Poitou Charente, there were no information whatsoever about it.

You may find out the entrance and information is on the other end which I did not drive past them.  To get to the entrance one must leave the main road and go down a small drive between trees to get there.  I only stopped on the other side of the river to make some photos to share with you at my blog.  This Chateau is a privately owned property.  I hope you will enjoy the Chateau as much as I have enjoyed making pictures of it.201

DSC_0246Thank you for stopping by and tune in for some more post of other places.

I hope your week is very much in Spring and let me love you and leave you!

The French really know a thing or two about architecture for sure! I love these photos of the Chateaux. I like imagining the people living inside of it. Who would come outside, Snow White or Robin Hood, maybe neither, haha. I can’t even tell you how much I love France, Juli. I’ve gone once and did not want to come back!

yup, I do wonder who maybe living behind the doors or these private chateaus. I only love them chateaux from the outside, away from their front doors. A lot of them are haunted.

So generous of the owners to open their home to visitors. A beautiful place and magical scenery, Juli. We don’t have any buildings like that in the US. Thanks for all the gorgeous photos. 🙂
