I never knew this old village.  And in June I took an early summer holiday.  And Saint Germain Les Belles was a dream come true.

When my daughter was at school age, I waited for summer school breaks to go away with her.  She is now a young adult.  Therefore I planned my holiday in time before the mid of July.

Summer Is The Season of Dreams.  It is like a never-ending time of year when the days seems to last forever.  The sun is out and the kids are waiting for the last day of their semester.  But in the meanwhile we are on the lake.  Everyone here is having fun and the fun never stops. All in all it is an exciting time of the year and summer is a season that do not last long enough.

Yet situated on the border of Correze and Dordogne, “Saint-Germain-les-Belles” is a country village.  Not only that It is in the Haute-Vienne department of Limousin.   But this farming village is surround by character homes with shutters and flowers that livens this enchanted ancient village.

We all have fond memories of this favorite season when the sun is out. The freedom from being away from office hours and busy city lifestyle to relax by camps and lakes. Lastly it is a season to crave for.

As the day by the lake was over, it was sad to leave, as I wish I could have stayed forever.

Hi, it’s wonderful to see this green country. Such great photo and descriptions of La Belle France. I do hope you enjoy your time there, but the Netherlands has much to offer too.
